Regal - Irish Wolfhound/Greyhound Cross

It has been sometime since i have posted on here, have to start up again for something to do! So today, is Regal's time to shine!

First off, Regal is a mutt. We believe she is an Irish Wolfhound/Greyhound cross, as at the time of us getting her, there was a huge dog seizure outside of Saskatoon. They had a lot of Irish Wolfhounds, greyhounds, and huskies. Just to name a few anyways. We believe Regal escaped from this terrible place, and she was found running at large in a field a few days before everything all went down.
She was taken into the SPCA and we were then called to see if we would be interested in fostering her, as she wouldn't eat and she had some problems. We agreed, of coarse.. We can't say no to a dog in need.
I went with my dad to pick her up on February 14th, 2009 i think the year was. I would have been in grade 9 at the time, and i left school early to go with him. We got there and met Regal, she was being a suck but scared at the same time. The staff there loved Regal, she hated being kenneled so she spent a lot of the time in the office and main room to greet people.
Regal's first day with us, look at the joy in her eyes :)

We took her home and thought the best place for her at the time was in the boarding kennel. There were no other dogs in there and it would be quiet and she could relax.. Lets just say that lasted a day! She hated it in there! She hated being kenneled, and she was LOUD! So we took her inside. She hated all our dogs too. She told them off, she growled, she even nipped at poor old Amy. Amy just looked at her, as if she was serious that she was going to act that way. Amy is the Alpha of the house, and everyone knows it. She is the oldest, so they better behave type thing. anyways, Regal adjusted to the other dogs, and i think at the time we would have had...6 or 7 dogs. Not sure which ones though!
Another photo of her first day. Gosh she is pretty

We learnt quickly that Regal HATED being left alone, and since she couldn't be kenneled she wrecked a few things while we left.. The one day we came home from school and she was lying on the kitchen counter, and the water tap was on!! Thank god, it wasn't over the counter or the kitchen could have flooded. She eventually realized that we weren't going to be gone forever, and that we would come back. It took some time though, she did warm up to the other dogs as well, and now we call her Aunty Regal to all the dogs younger then her. She even acts like an Aunt to them!

Anyways, back to when we got her. She has flat feet from poor breeding, and we assume from being kept in a kennel and no exercise. She has big scars all over her, and cigarette burn scars as well.. The tip of her tail is also missing. I am sure i am forgetting a few things as well. She was and still is a mess. But we were fostering her, and then as my mom started looking for homes for Regal, my dad decided that he loved her too much to give her up, so we called the SPCA and told them that we were making the foster, an adoption! Yay for us! and yay for Regal! Regal now had her forever home, and we had another dog. lol.
her flat feet, sorry for crap photo

Regal now has learned to walk and run off leash, she loves going for car rides, she loves going for runs and walks! The only downside is, her flat feet.. because they are so flat, they get sore SUPER fast, and get big sores on them that sometimes get infected. So we have to be careful on how often we walk and run her so we don't hurt her. She gets so upset when she doesn't get to go for a run with her friends. She also LOVES to dig.. if she can't dig fast enough with her feet, then she uses her mouth! its hilarious! :)
Regal on the kitchen counter...

Regal digging with her mouth.
Regal has come a very long way from being an emaciated wreck to a love able house pet! We don't know her age but we assume 7 or 8 right now. She still acts like a puppy some days, she definitely doesnt show her age at all. We love her to peices, and we are so glad we kept her. I will attach her youtube video of her story as well, it has gotten some views, and i am proud to share it to rescues, and anyone really!

Regal has a coat like a Wolfhound, but the body of a greyhound, just a little more bone, and chest to her. She actually looks like a Deerhound.. but she is definitely not, as they are fairly rare to come by in this area of Canada. She has a really soft belly, and basically just peach fuzz for hair, so she gets pimples, and sores from lying down all the time. Its gross ;) lol. But I love her.

I Lost My Best Friend

Exactly a month ago, on December 1st, 2014, my best friend left me. Gintaro, my Irish Wolfhound, my family member, my friend, and my pet, passed away. It has honestly been one of the hardest things i think i have ever had to go through. There isn't a single day that goes by where i dont think of him, and every time i go out to the farm, i am always expecting him to greet me at the door. I know he is there in spirit, i just wish i could see him again, and run my fingers through his fur. I never thought how much i could miss him, i knew the day would come where he had to say goodbye, i just never thought he would only be 6 when it was his time, i never thought that he would die from a sickness, i wanted him to grow old and be healthy for his whole life and not have to be in pain. I wanted him to always be there for me when i needed him for absolutely anything. I may sound selfish, but on his day of passing, that was the last thing i was.
He had pneumonia, it was the second time he had it, and this time it was much much worse than the first time. We thought keeping him at home was the best thing for him, instead of spending another week at the vet. He was drinking lots, and he was eating. The next day, he would still eat some, and still drink lots, we got him meds. The week went by and it got worse and worse. We were preparing ourselves for the worst, i made sure to come out everyday to spend time with him, and on the weekend i got to watch them as my parents went out of town, he slept by my side for those 3 nights, and i knew he loved it, probably reminded him of when i lived at home. I didn't get much sleep those nights as his raspy breathing kept me up. But i honestly didn't mind, i liked having him in the room with me.
Gintaro. Spring of 2011

Sunday rolls around and my parents get home, i go back to my house in town and the next morning my mom texts me to see if i can leave work early to take Gintaro to the vet, they want to see if they can do anything for him, and if not, then they will be putting him to sleep. I agree, i take it off early, and i am to meet my mom and sister in Kindersley. 45 minutes away from Luseland. I pick my brother up from school and we head out to the farm to pick Gintaro up. He is very excited to be able to go for a ride, as that was his favorite thing ever. especially in my van! He has a hard time getting in as he is so weak, i help him out and make sure his area is all comfy, and i tell him that he is a good boy. We head out, and he wants to come in the front, have to tell him no and to sit or lie down, i noticed his tongue was blue again, as it was the night before.. i was driving a little slower so it was so rough on him, until we go to the highway. He sits, so i pay attention to the road, i ask my brother how he is doing and he says that he is lying down, i turn my head and see he is lying weird and twisted so i slow a bit more down, and i ask him if he is breathing, he says yes, but making weird sounds too. (my brother is 13.) i stop, and pull over, and i get out. open the back door and check on him, he is barely breathing, but his heart is still beating hard. so i get in the back and put his head on my lap and try and get his body a certain way so it would open his airway. i pat on his chest to see if that would do anything, i also ask for my phone so i can call my mom. I get ahold of her and i tell her that i don't think he is going to make it, and i explain what is happening. she tells me to take him to dad's work to see if he can help. i hang up, and sit a few more seconds with him, stroking his fur, telling him he is a good boy, i hear him take a breath of air, and i check his heart. It was no longer beating.. i put his head back down and shut the door, i get in and keep driving to town. the farm is 5 mins from luseland.. i was about 3 minutes away from town.. i knew what happened. i did not know what to say to my brother, i didn't know what to say to anyone.. i am pulling into my dads workplace and i turn to my brother, and i tell him that Gintaro didn't make it, he was too sick. He starts crying, and i try and hold myself together. i put my van in park and i go and get my dad. He comes out, and i tell him that he didn't make it. I open the back door for him to make sure he is gone, just in case. He is, so i ask if he can help me to get him in a more comfy position so he doesn't look so bad. We do that, and he asks me if i still want to take Gintaro to kindersley, i say yes as i would do anything for that dog. and my brother wants to come with me. My dad tells me to drive safe, and that he is sorry we have to do that. We pull out of the lot, and i call my mom to tell her the bad news. She picks up and i say he didnt make it while im crying, and i tell her we are still coming to bring him there. and that i would call her when we get to kindersley. I know i upset her, but i didn't just want to show up with him, and having her expecting him to be ok.
The ride to kindersley was the longest, quietest, drive i have ever had. Neither of us spoke, and the entire trip i expected Gintaro to just get up and be ok, and be himself and no longer be sick. That didn't happen.
We get to kindersley and i call to say we will be there right away, they are already there. We get to the vets, and they tell us to pull around back so that we can unload him. After i do that i put it in park, and my mom opens the back door, she helps Glenda, (the one vet) to make sure he is good to move, and then Andrew (the other vet) shows up and instantly starts to help. Glenda asks if we want to keep the collar or keep it with him. I say i would really like to keep it, as i bought it just for him years ago. they take his collar off, and set it on one of my seats. and make sure he is all the way on the blanket he was lying on. and they carry him out and into a building, once we are in the building, they set him down in a spot where we can all say goodbye. My mom goes to his head and pets his fur, i pet his chest and belly, i know its the last time i will ever see him, and pet him, he is still warm. We take our time with him, we all gave him one last pet and we share some of our memories we have of him. I did not want to leave his side, i would have stayed there forever. After we are finished we go up to the front and figure out what we want to do, we decide to get him cremated, but for us to find our own special box to put him in. It would take 3-4 weeks before he could come home again. He wouldn't be home in time for Christmas. We leave the vet's and say thanks a bunch of times. We get outside and my mom tells me that Andrew wasn't even working today, he wanted to make sure we were all okay and to say goodbye to Gintaro as well, so he drove into town for us. That made us feel awesome, to know our dogs have impacted others as well.
Gintaro, after a good brush! 2014

Days pass, and weeks pass. It was weird not seeing him when i went out to the farm, it was weird not hearing him whine his happy whines, and paw the gate when i was there. It was strange not having the food cupboard being broke into on a daily basis. And it really sucked not having my dog there to greet me at the door, and barking at me to give him attention, or just sitting with him and watching tv. It really sucked. I have gone through the time of losing a dog, and rehoming dogs. But none of that measured up to losing Gintaro. It all sucks, but i think the worst part was he was my dog, he was my boy, he was my Taro. I was always told to make an attachment to the dogs that would be staying around, Gintaro would always be here because we made a promise to Barbara, his breeder, that we were his forever home, he would never be with anyone except us. I was with him the very first night he got here from Poland, my dad had to go to the hospital to see his mom, and my mom was there too. my brother and sister were at my other grandmas, and i was home to watch the dogs. so when my dad got home with Gintaro that night, he told me to watch him and that they would be back tomorrow sometime. I took Gintaro to my room in the basement with me and made him a little bed beside mine. He slept there all night, he didn't wake me up, and he had no accidents. i was impressed. I guess from day 1 we have always had a bond, he was always excited to see me when i got home from school, and when i moved out, he was always excited to see me when i came to visit. He slept with me every night when i lived at home, and i was always by his side when he was sick. I know that he was happy up until the very last moment, the very last beat of his heart, the very last breath he took, i knew he was happy, because he had me by his side the entire time. I am very glad that he died doing something he absolutely loved with the person he loved most. I am very happy that i got to be there in his final moments to make sure he was okay, and that he wasn't scared.
Gintaro and I, in regional for Junior Handling. We got first! 2012

I miss you Gintaro, I always will, every time i look at your pictures, or watch your videos, or even think of the great memories that i had with you.
He may be just a dog, but he was my dog. my friend. my Taro. and my boo. And I loved him.

Gintaro - Irish Wolfhound

Gintaro looooooves being a goof on the couch
This is Gintaro, he is a cream Irish Wolfhound. His birthday is September 9, 2008. He came all the way from Poland. And my dad flew there just to pick him up to bring him all the way to Canada to live with our family. When Gintaro arrived here, he was the cutest puppy ever! Once my dad got in the door it was about 2am, my mom was in Saskatoon with my grandma, and my brother and sister were at my other grandparents house, so it was just me and my dad and the dogs that we had then. Gintaro came in the house, and wasn't scared at all. Amy was not happy that we got ANOTHER puppy. But since no one was home besides my dad i decided to take Gintaro to bed with me. No kennel.. And we make all our pups sleep in a kennel so there is no accidents. So i took him to bed with me, and he slept till 11 am! He house trained very fast. BUT he was a VERY bad puppy. And i mean BAD! He has eaten cords to portable dvd players, kitchen chair legs, coffee tables, china cabinet legs, many many many toys, walls, blinds, dvd cases, dvds!, pillows, and MUCH more!  He turns 5 years old soon and he is still just as bad!
The one time my mom made homemade soup and she put it in ice cream pails on top of the stove to cool off.  Gintaro comes along and spills one of them EVERYWHERE!!! all over the stove, all over the counter, and all over the floor.
Up on the counter! Being bad.
Gintaro, when we first got him :)
Gintaro is my dog, and when i finally get a place of my own, i will be taking him with me. Because he is my special boy. Gintaro has many many nicknames, ones like Taro, Stinky, Ninners, Bud Bud, Boo, Mr, Ninny, Nin, Bud, and a few more.
You can tell by the look on his face that he is trouble :) i will post more pics after i write a bit more. A few days ago i was laying on the couch with another dog and he comes up paws me, then hops on the couch and just lays on top of the dog beside me! The dog beside me is a lab/greyhound cross so she is very small compared to Gintaro. I had to dig her out! because he wouldn't move his lazy butt!

Gintaro weighs about 180lbs and is about 37"-38" at the shoulder. He is a BIG boy. He got his Canadian Championship at only 8 months old. He is a very good show dog, he absolutely loves the ring. I used to show him in Junior handling along with a few of our other dogs. But whenever i used Gintaro i ALWAYS seemed to get a 1st or a 2nd. I have won a first and moved on to the best of the best and i won that with him too :) He is my good luck charm, i was also selected to go to Regina and show for the juniors there and i won in my group and got to go on to best of the best as well. I did not win, but i did very well.
Not the best picture of him, but this is when we won best of the best!
Gintaro in the ring with me

Gintaro looooves Christmas

He also loves to be dressed up.

But he is a good boy too, he listens very good off leash :)

Check back soon for more about our dogs!

Tude - Irish Wolfhound

Tude - Taken February 2013
Tude is Brindle Irish Wolfhound, her birthday is August 6th, 2008. We got her when she was 2 years old from a breeder in Manitoba. Tude got her Canadian championship in 2012. She has not had a litter of puppies yet, we have tried once but she didn't end up getting pregnant.
Tude has a lot of spunk! Her favorite thing to do is sit in the kitchen and look out the big window and watch for our cat because she might just happen to walk by the front of the house. And when she does all Tude does is stand up from her sitting position.
Tude doesn't like to go on the furniture, but she loves her big pillows. She also likes to let everyone know that she is the boss, she always has her tail 10 feet up in the air. She loves to growl and bark at the others, she is very loud. She LOVES toys, absolutely loves the ones that squeak. She will not let anyone else near them. Tude loves to go for walks, she never gets to go because she is terrible on a leash, and loves to plunge forward and surprise you.
Instead for her exercise she runs in the boarding kennel runs. She has the run of the boarding kennel, she isnt allowed in the house because she likes to pee on the floor and wake us up all hours throughout the night. She prefers sleeping in the boarding kennel where there is other dogs, rugs, and a huge couch. She loves greeting all the dogs who come to visit. Her favorite friend is Reese a Pitbull they are best friends :)

Tude watching for the cat
Tude loves to wear costumes

Tude LOVES her toys
Tude loves to get dressed up in funny costumes and clothes, once she is all dressed up she runs around the house and shows everyone what she looks like. Its really funny, in the one picture it even looks like she is smiling!
Tude loves to go to dog shows, she loves attention so she thinks a dog show is the greatest thing in the entire world. She loves to prance all around the ring and strut her stuff. She is hilarious, she definitely has a lot of personality.
This was Tude's very first time in a puddle.
The picture above was Tude's very first time in a puddle, she used to be terrified of them, she wouldn't even go close to them. You can see in her face that she was still scared once she was in it, she's making sure i'm not leaving her :) After that she likes to run through them she was soaked after!

Stay tuned for more about the dogs!

Desa ~ Borzoi

Desa by the water pail, while out for a run :)
This is Desa. Desa is a Borzoi, or otherwise known as a Russian Wolfhound. Desa's birthday is February 1st 2007, she was my families very first Borzoi. She was actually given to my brother because me brother liked Desa's father Ivor so much that at dog shows he would crawl into Ivor's kennel and keep him company. The Borzoi breeder who owned Ivor loved my brother Talon. So when Ivor and Imogen had a litter of puppies, she brought little Desa to my parents trailer and asked to speak to my brother. She then told my brother if he loved and cared for Desa for the rest of her life, then he could have her at no costs. My brother was more than happy to get a puppy that was his very own.
Desa had her very first litter in August of 2010. She gave birth to 14 puppies! She did very well and was an AMAZING mother! Her kids Monroe and Chrissy live with my family. Gunner lives in Calgary. Jack lives with Desa's breeder and looks just like his dad Junior. Lily went all the way to Ontario. Elenore is in Saskatoon. Rysk is in Stettler. Solstice is in Nanton. Jubilation (Juby) is by Calgary. Cindy is in BC somewhere. Phoenix (Sadie) we had her named Phoenix so that is what i know her as, lives in Canada. ( i have no idea where). Opy lives in Toronto, Ontario. Katie or Crazy Katie haha lives somewhere in Canada too, she was such a bad puppy, went to 3 different homes. now hopefully at her forever one. And last but not least Sooka who lives by Regina!

Desa and all her puppies :)
Desa is a wonderful pet, her day consists of sleeping in the computer room all day long, and when the family gets together at night she will weasel her way into a spot to be right next to you.

Desa, This was taken in February of 2013.

Watch for more dog posts! And hope you enjoyed reading about Desa!

Amy ~ Irish Wolfhound

Amy at a Dog Show dressed as a camel for Halloween
Today i will be talking to you about Amy, I touched briefly on her in my last post. But I think each of the dogs deserve their own post for me to brag about them a little bit :)
This is Amy, she is a 6 year old Irish Wolfhound. Her birthday is July 28th, 2006.
Amy has had two litters of puppies. The one litter she had four puppies, and we had kept two of them. Gemini and Saturn. The other two went to new homes. One went all the way to B.C. and the other went to Calgary.
This is Gemini.
This is Saturn.

The two that we kept, Saturn ended up passing away at 6 months because he had either gotten into something and it ripped a hole in his intestine. Or it was a birth defect. We are unsure. He was a very sweet puppy.
The other one, Gemini. We had her up until July, and then we decided that we weren't going to breed her, and she had to go to a new home. So she did, and she now lives in a family with another dog and three little boys. and is spoiled rotten!
Amy was a GREAT mother to these guys. Her second litter consisted of three puppies, and the father to this litter was our very own Gintaro!  These three pups were very very fat, since there was only three of them. One went to New Brunswick, and the other one went to a small town in northern Saskatchewan. We kept the one and only boy because he had a heart murmer. Zeus was his name, he was supposed to go to New Brunswick but we didnt want to send him there because we were unsure of his heart and how long he would live.
Zeus lived to be 5 months old, and at about midnight on June 19th, 2011. when everyone was getting to sleep. We heard yelping and whimpering and banging around in the kitchen where the dogs were kenneled at the time.. I did not know what was going on, i was in my room and had a friend over at the time. About 10 minutes later my mom came downstairs and said she wanted to talk to me alone. I came out of my room and shut the door, and my mom told me that Zeus had a heart attack, and she needed my help to get him out of his kennel, while my dad was digging a grave for him in the backyard.
I crawled in his kennel, and pet him for a moment, then wrapped him up in his blanket, except for his head. I pet his head a few more times then wrapped it up. I was trying my hardest not to cry, but it was the most hardest thing i have ever had to do in my entire life. Seeing my puppy, lying there, not breathing, or panting, or doing anything. Just lying there.
Me and my mom eventually got him out of his kennel, it was not easy since he was not light. i couldn't imagine lifting a full grown one. We put Zeus's body in the boarding kennel, at the time i believe there was no boarding dogs. and then my mom told me to go back to bed, and that we would bury him in the morning, and go rock picking to put rocks on his grave.
Here are a few pictures..
Zeus..roughly 4 1/2 months
Zeus.. 5 or 6 weeks old

Zeus.. 7 or 8 weeks old

Amy was a fantastic mom to these three pups too, and Gintaro was a good dad. Even though he didnt really do anything besides peek his head in every few days.

Right now Amy is getting older and older. You can definitely tell that she is an old dog. When she gets up she whines because of her old bones. We think she is getting arthritis, she gets special medication each day. Our goal with Amy, is to show her in the Veteran class at a Dog Show. So we are hoping and praying that she makes it to be seven :)
Amy still has her bursts of puppiness, and will play with the other dogs. Other than that she is a very quiet dog, unless someone pulls in the yard, or when all the dogs are howling. Actually Amy isn't quiet at all. She is shy of men tho. She loves kids, kids will love to take her leash and walk her around everywhere.

Sara is no longer with us.
I hope you all enjoyed reading about Amy, and check back for more posts about the dogs! :)

A Little Bit About Us...

Zelda, Regal, and Gintaro enjoying a day in the puddles
Hi, my name is Nichelle or gintaro7 as some may know me. I have decided to start this blog because i love to talk about my animals that i have or i have had. Dogs are my favorite creature, i think it is wonderful how they are a part of my life. Right now, my family owns 12 dogs, 1 cat, 24 sheep, and a ram. Yeah i know that's A LOT of animals, but there are good reasons behind every animal that we have. I will touch briefly on every single one of them today, with their name, breed, coloring, and personality, and then each of the pets will get their very own blog about them.
To start with the oldest dog we have right now, would be Amy. Amy is a 6 year old grey brindle Irish Wolfhound. Amy is quiet, but she is loud when all the hounds are howling together, she prefers to lie on the couch or a dog bed throughout the whole day. She doesn't have much energy left, and we think she is getting arthritis because she whimpers when she gets up, but the odd time she will have bursts of energy and they are quite funny to watch. Amy has had 2 litters of puppies, one of four, and then one of three. She is a Canadian Champion. Amy's show name is Windseeker Amy at Prairie Trial.
The next dog would be Desa. Desa is a 4 year old, white with grey brindle Borzoi. Desa is very quiet, but she likes you to know that she is there. She is my brothers dog, and sleeps with him every night. Throughout the day, Desa can be found lying in the computer room by someones feet, or by herself. When someone is on the couch, she will be pitted in behind whoever it is. Desa has had one litter of puppies, one of 14! She is a Canadian Champion. Desa's show name is Tovarich Desa at Prairie Trail.
Now onto Tude! Tude is a 4 year old grey brindle Irish Wolfhound. She is similar to Amy, but Tude is slimmer and has a different style of head and a different style of hair. Anyways, Tude likes to be noticed! She  never really barks, only when they are all howling is when she does. The way she gets you to notice her, is she sniffs your butt then when you look at her she will practically stand on her toes and get as close to your face as possible and sniff it! She loves to step on everyone's feet with her big paws. Tude can be found standing at the kitchen window ALL day watching for the cat. because she MIGHT happen to walk by it. If she isn't there, then she is lying on a dog bed somewhere. She NEVER goes on the couch, and we don't know why. Tude is a Canadian Champion, and she will be having a litter of puppies soon. Tude's show name is Llonkyle Platitude.
Next is my dog Gintaro. Gintaro is a 4 year old white/cream Irish Wolfhound, my dad flew to Poland to get this big boy. And when i say big, i am not lying... Gintaro weighs at least 180 pounds and is the tallest out of all the dogs we have. His personality is LOUD! I am his absolute favorite person, whenever i come in the house, he runs to me and jumps on me and does this high pitched whining sound for 10 minutes. he does not leave my side! Whenever he wants a toy, he barks. Whenever he wants out to the bathroom, he barks. Whenever he wants to be petted, he barks. Whenever he wants ANYTHING AT ALL, he barks! He is a VERY loud boy! BUT he is mine and i love him to death. Gintaro can be found laying on the couch, or a dog bed.. or always by my side. (He is the one in the picture on the right) Gintaro is a Canadian Champion, he got his at 8 months, and was the father of one litter. Gintaro's show name is Sagittarius Gintaro.
Regal is next. Regal is a rescue hound so we aren't 100% sure on her age. We think about 4 years old. She is the middle one in the picture above. Regal is believed to be a Wolfhound/Greyhound cross. She is a brown brindle color. We were actually only supposed to be fostering her, but then my dad did not want to give her up. Now Regal... She is the kind of dog that gets really jealous when you are petting or giving attention to another dog. She WILL shove her head under your hand or armpit, she LOVES people. And when we were fostering her, she absolutely HATED all of our dogs. She would nip them, bite them, growl at them. Then the one day she did that to Amy, and Amy is the head dog of everyone. So she nipped at Amy, and Amy looked at her, and walked away. It was really funny. Regal now LOVES everyone, she is best friends with all the dogs, we call her Auntie Regal hahaha, she plays gentle enough with the puppies so that they don'g get hurt. She runs around and barks ALL the time. She has separation anxiety, but it isn't as bad as it used to be. The one day we had come home from school, and she was laying on the kitchen counter! haha She is a goof. Regal can be found lying on the couch or the dog beds, or anywhere where my dad is. She will never be in a different room from you.
Now Chrissy. Chrissy is a 2 year old, black and white Borzoi. She is one of Desa's puppies from the litter of 14. Chrissy is my sister's dog, she sleeps with her every night. Chrissy is very quiet, BUT she is bad. She likes to run around the house with her sister Monroe and Maiden and jump on all the furniture burning through the entire house like they are on fire. It is never a dull moment out at the farm with them.Chrissy is fairly timid, but very very sweet. Chrissy can be found, running through the house, or lying on the couch usually with another dog. Chrissy is a Canadian Champion, and her show name is Prairie Trail's Lick It Up.
Next is her sister Monroe! Monroe is also one of my dogs. She is a 2 year old orange, black, and white borzoi. Her coat looks like fire. She is a very lovey dovey dog, when i come home, she wags her tail and it always looks like she is smiling. But if i get mad at her, she will ignore you, and tense completely up and whimper. She only does that when i get mad at her, but she will never do it again. She makes sure you are always happy and she will never leave my side. She is a great dog, and loves to kiss your face. Monroe can be found on the couch, or wherever i am. Monroe is a Canadian Champion, and her show name is Prairie Trail's Heavens on Fire.
Now to Jack! Jack is a 2 year old red brindle Irish Wolfhound. He had a broken leg, and now has plates in it. He is still limping but it is definitely better than what it was. Jack is the sweetest boy ever! We have only had him about 2 months, but you fall in love with him more every time you see him. He is a suck! He is always on his best behavior. The only time you would get mad at him, is when you want him to leave you alone. Since he has been with us, he has came out of his shell more and more, he doesn't like when he gets run over by the borzoi or the greyhound. and he will give a sharp bark saying leave me alone! then he will go back to sleeping. i am unsure of Jack's show name and his show status. i am very happy that we ended up getting him, there was nothing wrong with his previous home, they just wanted to downsize the amount of dogs they had :)  Jack can be found lying pretty much anywhere he wants.
Zelda is next. (the left one in the picture above) Zelda is also my dog. She is a rescue hound as well, and we got her when she was a puppy, so we think she would be turning a year in the next month or so. Zelda is pure white with light brown ears and a light brown spot on her one side. We think she is a Greyhound/Lab cross. with maybe some more breeds in her, we are unsure. Now, Zelda... she is.. well.. VERY hyper.. but SUPER friendly and very loving. She gets along with EVERYONE! She looks like a body builder, she just loves to run and play. and you can notice when you see the muscles that she has! it is unbelievable! i can not wait to show her off. She learned sit and lay down within a month and only after a few months of having her. She is very smart. We think that it is the lab that is in her that makes her hyper and want to learn. Zelda is not allowed in the house, but we have a huge garage, and the one side we have a boarding kennel that we keep our three baddest dogs in haha, and then the dogs that go in heat go out there as well. or if Gintaro or Jack are bad. But the boarding kennel is heated, and has mats and even a couch! there are toys everywhere. and the dogs can do WHATEVER they want :) They love it out there. Zelda is the only one out there that is allowed in the house when i am pretty much home by myself. and she knows to behave when she is in there. it is a privilege to her to be allowed in there. The only reason they are not allowed in the house is that they are really hyper and wreck things, and the other two aren't house-trained yet. Zelda can be found in the garage playing with the boarding dogs, and the puppies.
Now to Acacia.. Acacia is a 6 month old Irish Wolfhound puppy. I do not know what her coloring is called. She is brown/grey/black. She is very hyper but very sweet. she is always looking for pets and cuddles. She is one of the dogs that lives in the boarding kennel. She also has a ton of muscle! and she loves to play and run, and she LOVES treats! Acacia will be showed soon, i do not know her show name though.
Her Sister Crazy Eddie! Eddie is a girl, just so that is clear. Eddie is a 6 month old Irish Wolfhound puppy, and she is a red brindle. She has a very pretty coat. and she is VERY bad, she is always biting Acacia and Zelda or me. haha she can be sweet too. and she is muscular too. both these pups dont even compare to the muscle that Zelda has tho. Eddie will be shown soon too, and again i am unsure of her show name as well..
And last but not least, there is Maiden! Maiden is a 5 month old white with black spots Greyhound. Annnnnd she is ALSO HYPER! She burns through the house with the Borzoi too. and her and Regal are best friends. We got Maiden from Colorado in the United States. my parents DROVE down there, which is a VERY long drive. but my dad really wanted a greyhound, pretty much all because of regal haha. Maiden stays in the house during the day, and sleeps in the garage during the night. Maiden will be shown soon too, an i do not know her show name either.

That is all of the dogs, i hope you enjoyed reading about every single one of them. We do have a cat named Mayonnaise and she is a 6 year old outdoor tabby cat. She is the mouser of the farm. She does get her attention and love too. She actually gets to go in the boarding kennel for the night. We also have 24 sheep and a ram. BUT we just got those the other day and i haven't even seen them yet.

Hope you enjoyed reading about all my families animals, and i will write again soon about something else that is interesting about my animals :)
